Cornelius d. Jones

BIO

Cornelius Jones is a distinguished American author specializing in social philosophy. Prior to embarking on his writing career, he served in the United States Navy, enlisting the day after the terrorist attack on the USS Cole in 2000. During his first year of active-duty service, the World Trade Center and the Pentagon experienced attacks on September 11, 2001. Mr. Jones completed multiple combat tours during Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. After dedicating two decades of service to his country, he established Jones Counseling & Consulting, LLC, a private practice located in Jacksonville, FL.

In 2022, the Friends of Brentwood Library in Jacksonville, FL, honored Mr. Jones for his literary accomplishments. During a public ceremony, he was awarded the James Weldon Johnson Prestigious Award. Over a four-year period from August 2020 to February 2024, he wrote and published nine books. Eight of his nine publications achieved bestseller status, with five achieving the notable distinction of being #1 bestsellers.

After a two-year hiatus, he resumed his writing endeavors in 2024. On February 9, 2024, he published "War on Black: America's Dark History that Can't be Erased." It swiftly gained traction, marking his third #1 New Release. This critically acclaimed book garnered him recognition as an honoree from the International Book Awards, sponsored by the American Book Fest. He also received the 2024 Independent Author Award from the Literary Global Book Awards. He was honored with a Quilly Award in September 2025, during his induction into the National Academy of Bestselling Authors.

Dedicated to showcasing the positive impact of Black fathers, he collaborated with a group of trusted colleagues to author a book on this vital subject. On June 12, 2024, he announced the release of his fourth #1 New Release, "A Father's Love: Paternal Affection Through Lived Experiences." In the midst of a national dialogue regarding the banning of race-related literature, he felt compelled to address the social and systemic challenges faced by Black American males. On August 24, 2024, he published his latest work, "Black Males Burden: The Traumatization of Black Males in America.
